Water Calculations Part G

Building Regulations Part G changed on 6th May 2010 and it is now necessary to satisfy new water efficiency performance objectives. With each new dwelling and domestic conversion, Building Control now require potable water calculations to demonstrate complience with part G in that no more than 125 ltrs of potable water per person per day be used in each household.
Getting used to these changes has been particularly hard for developers as they now have to research what type of fittings they purchase before installation. Appliances like WCs , WHBs, Baths, Showers and type of taps along with washing machines and sinks must now all play a part in reducing water output
Sap Service UK can provide detailed calculations and would recommend that they are prepared at an early stage to ensure the new fittings meet regulations.
